1. Arrive relaxed and on time for your photoshoot

Get a good night’s sleep before D-day, and arrive for your photo shoot looking relaxed.

If you’re the party type, it’s best to sacrifice the previous night’s outing in favor of a low-key evening with a mask, herbal tea and a good night’s sleep!

It’s also important to arrive on time on the day of the shoot. This will allow you to establish a good rapport with the photographer from the outset, and – not least – to take full advantage of the time allotted for your solo photo shoot. After all, the photographer may have another shoot scheduled right after you. Don’t rush to be on time, always allow for a safety margin, especially if you’re coming from far away.

2. Prepare your poses and have a positive attitude towards the photographer

Remain open to the photographer’s suggestions. He’s there to show you off, and only he can see what’s going on in the lens. Trust him and you’ll be fine 😉 Of course, if you have any ideas in mind in terms of poses, don’t hesitate to talk to him about them, as it will be beneficial for the photo shoot.

3. Plan the right outfits for your photo shoot

The photo shoot only lasts 30 minutes, so it goes by very quickly! We therefore advise you to plan changes only for the upper body, and to do so according to the weather.

Changing sweaters or jackets, or planning different accessories (glasses, hats, rings, etc.) during a photo shoot will enable you to change your style in a matter of seconds.

Example: Quickly go from a « professional CV » type photo to a series of images for your Instagram with more casual clothes.

4. Let go in front of the photographer’s lens

Being in front of the lens for the first time isn’t easy. A word of advice: be yourself, relax, everything will go smoothly, I promise 🙂

It’s all in the eyes! Think positive thoughts: a friend’s laugh, your lover’s smile, grandma’s gratin, Uncle Jean-Pierre’s jokes (or not)…etc.

If this is your first photo shoot, rest assured that the photographer in front of you won’t be a beginner. We select professional photographers who are talented and knowledgeable, and used to working with all types of profiles and requests, so there’s no need to stress. And one last thing: enjoy yourself, you’ll see it makes all the difference 😉

After all this valuable advice, I think there’s only one thing left to do!
